Welcome to the Crowd Simulation Research Group at NTU

Crowd simulation is an area that has been the subject of a lot of multi disciplinary work over the last few decades. Its applications range from simulating crowds for movies and games to analyzing pedestrian behavior and preparing for fire evacuations, riots and similar emergencies. Models of crowds have increased in complexity and in their level of detail over the years. Making use of the power of high performance parallel and distributed computing opens the doors to new and more detailed modelling of crowds. Here, at the Parallel and Distributed Computing Center in NTU, there are several projects that are advancing our ability to model, simulate and analyse crowds, their motion and behaviour. This website introduces the different projects and researchers.
